August 2021, what a month!
I started the month with a full ten days work break from both of my businesses, as I went on a little holiday with my Husband and our pooches. It was amazing to be completely unplugged and away from everything but I must admit that I did miss work a little bit!
Even though I was away for the first ten days of August, the practice has seen it’s busiest and most profitable August since we opened almost nine years ago and owing to two of my clients needing website overhauls and a third asking me to design some business cards, this has also been the busiest and most profitable month for my social media business!
So, I rewarded myself this month with a TV for the office which is going to come in very handy when used as a big/second screen for my MacBook and also now and again when I want some background noise whilst I work. As you can see from the picture, currently I’m watching classic Hustle on BritBox whilst working! (BTW does anyone else think Jaime Murray is THE most beautiful woman ever?!)
Now, it’s the end of August, and I’ve just come home from another very busy, long day at the practice. Tomorrow I need to write up the end of month reports so it’ll be a day in the office and all I can say is that I feel blessed because I own and work at two businesses which are both doing well.
